WHO WE ARE

Our Story

Rooted in East Austin since 1941, when St. James' Episcopal Church was founded to serve historically Black and brown neighborhoods.

Church-based outreach — sharing food, supporting children's learning, standing alongside families — grew into Welcome Table, Inc., a 501(c)(3).

Today we carry that legacy forward through Neighbor 2 Neighbor and CDF Freedom Schools® Austin.
